Emergency Hotlines

EMERGENCY HOTLINES
Here are Emergency Hotlines for important government agencies in Metro Manila. Feel free to refer to them as need arises.

On May 25, 2018, President Rodrigo Duterte has institutionalized  911 as the nationwide emergency hotline. The President signed Executive Order No. 56 making 911 as the nationwide emergency hotline, replacing PATROL 117.

The order stated that Emergency 911 would place the Emergency 911 National Hotline Public Safety Answering Center (National Call Center) under the direction and control of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

“The local government units (LGUs) are enjoined to establish and run local 911 call centers within their area of jurisdiction using their own funds. These local 911 call centers shall however, be under the supervision of the National Call Center,” the order stated.

The primary responders would be the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP).

The BFP would be the lead agency in conducting fire suppression operations and providing the public with emergency medical services, hazardous materials protection, and technical search and rescue services while the PNP would be the lead agency in providing police assistance in relation to public safety and crime prevention.

Other responders include Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Health, Department of Transportation, Armed Forces of the Philippines, National Bureau of Investigation, Bureau of Immigration, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, LGUs, and other non-government organizations, hospitals, and medical institutions.

The order also stated that Emergency Commission “shall ensure that all calls made to the Emergency 911 Hotline shall be free of charge and other fees.

The Emergency 911 Commission will have the interior Secretary as the chairperson with the DICT Secretary as vice chairperson.

EVERRA.NET

EVERRA.NET

Been spending hours now trying to update this website which I have done myself (started maybe around 2007), quite amateurishly, because I'm no webmaster and the hosting company which used to be so fast isn't loading properly. Started at around 6 pm, now it's past midnight and nothing has happened yet.  Tried to speed up Internet Explorer via internet instructions and finally checked on my hosting company.  What happened to them, why is their site not loading? Found out that they're going backwards now, with so many complaints, companies losing revenues due to lost websites.

What to do if you can't update your main website?

Maybe for now will be using Blogger, until I figure out what new hosting to use. This can't go on forever, and have to move on.

So many new listings and buyers are looking for properties to buy or to rent, to sell or lease out.

Hopefully EVERRA.NET still survives. Other websites hosted by same company are now in oblivion, mine is still functioning, though not really updated, because can't access the hosting backend.

EVERRA is still in business, but my hosting seems going out of it.

Maybe blogging will be the answer to the website I'm losing control of, although I still pay monthly for it...

Just when I feel the energy to focus on my real estate...

Tomorrow's... err. later is another day. This blogger site is going to be busy...

For real estate requirements... just contact me on my details on this blog.

My Harasser

This has been in my draft for more than 10 years... that I haven't published, when I was a novice in real estate... even forgot his... what's his name? This is now just a memento of my earlier journey in real estate. Would have deleted it, but on second thought, this was how it was. Lessons are learned and all we just have to keep going and try to be the best in what we do.
———-
Would you know I have a "harasser" -- a male real estate agent, formerly of Century Properties, who finds amusement in following what I do. We got acquianted years back when he called to introduce himself, and in the process told me he'll teach me selling real estate through the internet, for a fee, but then he disappeared. The "tutorial" didn't push through because he changed his mind, although I tried to contact him.

But then I already knew of the internet, which he didn't know I knew, because it was he who was doing the talking most of the time. He eventually learned I was doing internet selling and was he so mad, perhaps because he thought it was he who gave me the idea (duh!). That's when the harassment began. He writes webmasters of sites where I publish my real estate ads and asks them to remove my ads, and the stuff, trying to discredit me. But of course these publishers verify his claims first before removing my ads and learns that his claims are hoax and my ads survive. Some even forward his e-mails to me and I am so surprised how mad he can be.

He also writes me "hate" e-mails in disguise, cursing and saying so bad words, and I know what bitterness he has in his life. Although annoyed of course and I kind of pity him. What a miserable life can that be, we do not even personally know each other? Just because he thought he was the one who taught me? How stupid could I be not to learn of the internet?

Although sometimes it was distracting at first, I just ignore him knowing that the "truth will set you free". I haven't done him anything wrong and his conscience knows that. What could be wrong if I do internet advertisements?

I learned a few months back that his karma is following him; he had problems with some real estate developers by kind of mishandling some "funds" of his clients, not remitting their downpayments. He is banned from some forums because of his misbehavior, etc. I heard his mom is problematic of him.

He is aware of my website URLs, even uses my scanned pictures, even if there is the name "Everra Real Estate" on them, copies and pastes them on his own website without asking for my permission,of course. After I scanned them myself...

The guy is "techy". He has learned my yahoo! password and I just saw in my sent mail that he has e-mailed my webmaster asking procedure on how he can make my e-mail address from my other real estate website for "professional dating". That's how desperate he is even trying to destroy my reputation! How can he think of these things, instead of concentrating on his real estate business? Of course I changed my password.

He even chatted online using YM pretending to be some sexy girl and managed to get some clients believe that it was me who provided their YM IDs to these girls, to support his "dating service" image he wanted to create for me. Of course these "girls" were just him. I guess if he had used his energy in “improving” his craft he must be a real real estate professional by now.

He is still prominent in the internet as a real estate agent concentrating on condos.

Of course when things get out of hand he will have to face the consequences of what he does.

Anyway, even without me doing anything, he pays for what he does in his own way. The saying "what you sow, you reap" is really true, from the string of unfortunate things that come his way.

I believe he also does the things he does to me to other people. I have seen it in the internet...

For now, I will continue on with my business, try to improve my craft, because I love what I do. He must have read this blog by now. And he knows it's he I am referring to.

My message to you, my (former? I wish) harasser-- your "job" is very tiring. I hope you finally find your peace.

My life as a Realtor®

Wanted to start my Blog but was so busy with my work as a Realtor®. Now is a Sunday and the family is watching "Mulan" (again-- this is one my eldest daughter's favorites). The computer is also in the living room, and as they watch the video I browse the internet and now I'm blogging.

So what's it's like to be a Realtor®? I must say it's challenging, demanding, rewarding, frustrating, tiring, exhilirating. A mixture of emotions. Attended seminar on real estate
just to familiarize myself about this business and took and passed the real estate broker's exam in November 2001 but has been an in-house broker for a new developer and I was on my own. Basically I got my training in sales through self-study-- through common sense, by reading, associating with people who have the experience, and through trial and error. And this was not easy having no mentor at all when you are just starting on a new field.
I joined my local real estate board about just a year ago, and from being just a real estate broker, I am now called Realtor® -- a label that I am proud to use, because only PAREB members have the legal right to use it, because it is patented. Since joining my local board, I realized that the life as a Realtor® is truly exciting and rewarding. I started attending seminars and tried to absorb and apply what I learn everytime, because in my previous employment in real estate, I was "alone", haha! Having been in a far different field since after college, this is relatively a new to me, and I'm trying to catch up on what I have to know. So when there's an opportunity I try to learn, and there is, everytime, that opportunity. As much as possible I try to attend seminars, especially those sponsored by reliable real estate developers. I read on real estate topics and also through my associations from other brokers Realtors® I learn more on my field.

Being surrounded by seasoned Realtors® who have been in this field for decades was (and still is) stressful for me, at the start, because I am overwhelmed by what they already know (and what they don't, after all these years). I know I am still practically a novice in this field and I want to be like most of them right here right now. I stretch my mind to try to learn as much from them as possible.

Now after a year as a Realtor® I kind of feel that I am not that "left out" at the least-- that somehow "I belong". In my board there a lot of real nice people around. It's nice meeting fellow Realtors®-- talking to them, learning from them, making new friends. Now I look forward to our General Membership meetings when I'll meet my colleagues again.
